Photography accessories?
My parents said I could get a new lens for my Canon, but I’m not sure which one to get. I mostly take landscape photos because my family and I travel a lot, but I also take portraits and such. I have a really crappy zoom lens, an 18-55mm lens. However, I also can get a tripod, remote, etc. I am an amateur photographer, and I only have the camera, lens, and filter. Any recommendations are welcomed!

Your 18-55 mm is fully capable of shooting portraits. I am surprised you haven’t discovered that just using your camera and lens. You seem to be very anxious to condemn your fine 18-55 mm. Why is that?
If you want a portrait only lens, the fine Canon 50 mm f/1.8 is a good one
A remote shutter release is an good inexpensive accessory. It is better to learn how to hand hold your camera than to buy a cheap tripod. A good one will cost you a minimum of $100, closer to $350 if you buy a good one with three-way head.
